Threshold Ad Accounts: How Meta Billing Thresholds Work

Understand Meta billing thresholds, the difference between a threshold and a spending limit, and MH Ads Agency’s $500 and $900 options.

When running Facebook and Instagram ads, understanding your billing setup helps you plan payments and manage advertising costs. One important setting is your account’s billing threshold.

MH Ads Agency offers threshold ad account options such as $500 and $900, with the ad account price included in the advertised rate.

What Is a Threshold Ad Account?

“Threshold ad account” describes a Meta advertising account with an established billing threshold.

Under automatic billing, the threshold is the amount of accumulated unpaid advertising costs that triggers a charge to your payment method. Meta also collects remaining costs on the account’s monthly billing date.

The threshold concerns payment timing. It does not determine how successful your campaigns will be.

What Does a $500 or $900 Threshold Mean?

With a $500 threshold, Meta normally attempts to collect payment when accumulated unpaid ad costs reach $500.

With a $900 threshold, that billing trigger is normally $900.

For example, if an account has a $900 threshold and $850 in unpaid advertising costs, approximately another $50 brings it to the threshold. If the monthly billing date arrives first, Meta can collect the outstanding amount before it reaches $900.

Is the Threshold Free Advertising Credit?

No. All advertising costs remain payable.

A $900 threshold does not include $900 of free advertising, and it does not mean the account can spend only $900 per month. An account can reach its threshold multiple times within a month as campaigns run and payments are collected.

A higher threshold can mean fewer, larger payment collections at the same advertising volume. Keep enough funds available for those charges.

Billing Threshold vs. Spending Limit

These settings serve different purposes:

SettingWhat it controlsBilling thresholdWhen accumulated advertising costs trigger paymentCampaign budgetPlanned spending for a campaign or ad setAccount spending limitA cap on cumulative account spendingMeta-imposed daily spending limitA platform restriction on daily spending

A higher billing threshold does not automatically increase your daily spending capacity. Check each setting separately before planning a campaign.

How Does MH Ads Agency’s Pricing Work?

The advertised rate is 40.5% of the threshold value, reduced from the previous 45% rate. This is a 10% reduction in the previous rate.

Threshold optionPrevious price at 45%Current price at 40.5%Saving$500$225.00$202.50$22.50$900$405.00$364.50$40.50

The ad account price is included in this calculation. This package price is separate from the advertising charges payable to Meta. Confirm any additional fees and the final quotation before ordering.

What Should You Check Before Ordering?

Confirm the account’s current threshold, unpaid balance, ownership and access arrangements, currency, payment requirements, and any advertising restrictions.

Also confirm the actual daily spending limit. A threshold shown in an older screenshot should not be assumed to represent the account’s current settings.

Can the Threshold Change?

Meta can review and adjust thresholds based on factors including payment history and account compliance. The amount displayed in the account’s current payment settings is the relevant figure when checking availability.
